Travel Advice

Are you taking medication and planning to travel?

Please consider the following:

Legislation

  • Some medications are subject to narcotics legislation, such as sleeping pills, tranquilizers, and ADHD medication.
  • If you take these abroad, you will need a so-called Schengen Certificate. Without such a certificate, you are committing an offense.
  • For more information and to download the form, visit www.farmatec.nl.

Hand Luggage

  • Preferably, take your medication in your hand luggage.

Packaging and Leaflet

  • If possible, take the original packaging and the leaflet with you.
  • This can prevent a lot of explanations at the border.

Supply

  • Ensure you have an adequate supply of medication for the entire trip.
  • Obtaining the right medication in another country or culture can be complicated.

Precaution

  • For longer trips, it is wise to take a first aid kit with you.
  • Ask your Regenboog Apotheek pharmacist for advice.
